The Lincoln Way Lacrosse Club was formed in the spring of 2007. The Lincoln Way Lacrosse Club is comprised of two programs - a youth program for players in grades 2nd through 8th and a High School team for Lincoln Way High School District 210 - Lincoln Way Central, Lincoln Way East, Lincoln Way North, and Lincoln Way West.E The goal of our team is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables young athletes to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. We facilitate the development of strength and character in every player.
We strive to teach all players to Honor and Respect the game.
Participation in our Youth program is open to all 2nd through 8th grade students that live inside and outside Lincoln Way District 210. To participate in the High School program you must attend a District 210 school.
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our team is a positive influence in the lives of our players. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children and opportunities for the community to unite.
LWLC participates in indoor and outdoor lacrosse programs for every type of player from beginner to expert.
These programs emphasize the fundamentals of lacrosse, which include catching, passing, scooping, dodging, and defense. Participants will do drills designed to teach and develop these skills as well as team concepts to be used in intra-squad scrimmages.
Emphasis in practices and scrimmages will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

This winter, the Lincoln-Way Lacrosse Club is excited to be offering an expanded winter program with additional lacrosse training opportunities beyond what has traditionally been offered in the winter program. Last year we successfully added a second night of skills training and we will do so again this year.
The winter lacrosse sessions include a weekly skills training session on Tuesdays with game play on Sundays.
This session includes training at the Bo Jackson Dome. Lincoln-Way Lacrosse coaches will conduct skills sessions where players will hone their skill by participating in individual and small group drills. These sessions will focus on shooting, dodging, passing and defensive positioning. It is this focus on fundamental skills that will improve the players' in-game abilities at all levels.
This winter for the Sunday gameplay sessions at the Hallmark Sports Club, session 2 will be run by True Lacrosse. The main objective is to provide an outstanding instructional, educational and technical training experience for all players. Their highly qualified staff of collegiate and professional coaches will train and coach all players to be the best players they can be. Player development is arguably the most important component of lacrosse and True Lacrosse works to meets this need. Box League structures scenarios that bring players to new levels of play-making through skill development drills and scenarios including: finishing, faking, catching in traffic, deceptive shooting, feeding, dodging in tight confines, cutting, picking, offense, defense, and game play.
Each Tuesday session will consist of 60-70 minutes of fundamental skill training led by Lincoln-Way Lacrosse coaches.
Each Sunday session will focus on gameplay. Games will be two 20 minute half games.
Both the Tuesday skill sessions and Sunday game-play sessions will be combined for a single price for the winter programs.
Each player MUST have a current US Lacrosse membership. At time of registration you will be able to check/obtain your membership. Membership is good for one year.
US Lacrosse cost is $25 under age of 15, $35 15-18, $50 19 and older.
